Bead Unique Magazine Bead Swap: Come Join the Fun!
What happens when you give each of 15 different people an identical collection of beads? You get a TON of eclectic beaded projects! Four times a year, Bead Unique recruits 15 people in the Bead Unique Community to participate in a Bead Swap.
- Each participant, chosen on a first come, first served basis, sends 16 identical beads or charms to the Bead Swap Organizer. (This number includes one bead or charm for themselves, one for each of the other 14 swap participants, and one extra to be photographed by the Bead Unique staff.)
- A few weeks later, the Swap organizer sends each participant one item from each of the other participants. In other words, each Bead Swapper receives a great goody bag full of eclectic items!
- The participants then have until a specified date to create and send in one or more pieces in any, some, or all of the following categories: beaded jewelry, art jewelry, home décor, and fashion. Since each Bead Swapper is different in skill level, likes/dislikes, and personal backgrounds, you'll see how an enormous array of diverse beaded ideas can emerge from the same collection of beads!
